Effective Succession in Family Business – Business Breakfast at JWW
On March 27, 2025, a special business breakfast was held at the headquarters of JWW Accounting Office, bringing together representatives of family businesses, experts, and advisors involved in succession processes. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce (NPCC) under the theme “Effective Succession in Family Business.”
Why is succession so important today?
In the face of a generational shift in entrepreneurship, more and more owners of family businesses are facing the challenge of passing the reins to their successors. This is often an emotional process that requires a strategic approach and support in various fields – legal, tax-related, and communicational. The meeting at JWW provided an opportunity to share experiences, learn best practices, and exchange inspiration.
Meeting Highlights
The breakfast was opened by Ewa Piotrowska from JWW and Łukasz Chodkowski from NPCC, who welcomed the guests and introduced the topic of the event. The speaker of the event was Aleksander Widawski, President of JWW, who shared his own succession experiences – both successful ones and those that brought valuable lessons.
The discussion took place in an intimate, open atmosphere that encouraged sharing questions, dilemmas, and reflections. Participants unanimously emphasized that succession is not a “future problem,” but a real challenge that requires action to begin today.
Acknowledgements
We thank the Netherlands-Polish Chamber of Commerce (NPCC) for their trust and co-organization of the event, and all participants for their active engagement and valuable conversations. We believe that meetings like this have a real impact on the development of family businesses in Poland – both strategically and interpersonally.
