Family Foundation and Business Growth – Summary of the Business Breakfast
On March 6th, in the atmospheric setting of The Lounge by Vastint within the Business Garden complex in Wrocław, a business breakfast took place, dedicated to the topic of family foundations and their role in the development of family-owned businesses in Poland. The event was organized by JWW Accounting Office, SDZ Legal Law Firm, and Xelion Investment House, under the patronage of the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting brought together entrepreneurs and individuals interested in succession planning, asset protection, and long-term business development across generations. In an intimate atmosphere, over morning coffee and breakfast, participants had the opportunity to explore the practical aspects of establishing and running a family foundation—from legal, accounting, and investment perspectives.
Experts discussed the benefits of setting up a family foundation, how to regulate financial relations between beneficiaries, the tax implications, and the mechanisms that allow for effective investment of accumulated wealth. Topics such as maintaining control of the business after passing it on to the next generation and protecting the interests of all family members also sparked great interest.
The conversations also touched on practical dilemmas—when it is the right time to start and how to align business goals with family values.
The event concluded in a spirit of inspiration and reflection—participants emphasized that the subject of family foundations is becoming increasingly relevant as the Polish family business market matures. Many expressed interest in exploring the topic further through individual consultations and participating in future events in this series.
We would like to thank all participants for their presence and valuable discussion. We already invite you to our upcoming meetings, where we will continue to share knowledge and experience on modern solutions for family businesses.
